Description/extras: WIthout a doubt this example would be the best restored example in the country, if not the world. Huge $$$ spent, no expense spared in bringing this stunning Adenauer 300d back to life.
Brief history: Purchased in October 2020 out of Melbourne Victoria in a condition that was ready for restoration. The vehicle then underwent a full nut and bolt restoration. Starting in early 2022 over nearly two years. It was a full body off, every part removed bagged and catalogued. Complete mechanical rebuild. Full rotisserie re-paint down to bare metal. Painted in original factory black. The vehicle restoration was headed by a local Gold Coast Rod Builder, Randall Dunbar, Many components had to be manufactured, however many brand-new parts were available via Germany. The Body was stripped to bare metal, and repainted in Factory black by Brad at Body Works Paint and panel, Nerang. Wheels were stripped and power coated, 5 brand new tyres were imported by Antique Wheels Australia, and were located in the USA.
Full interior restoration, not factory colour, but factory design. Hood lining, carpets leather seats, door cards etc. All competed by Steve at Cutting Edge Trimming, Burleigh Heads, Gold Coast.
