1942-1943 MR. KONDO HISAO SWORD

This Blade Was Made In 1942-1943 By Mr. Kondo Hisao When The Japanese Invaded The Timor Islands. The Blade Has A Slight Curve With A Strong Line, A Sakizori Style. The Tsuba (Sword Guard) Is Iron With A Design Of Bamboo And Chrysanthemums. The Tsuka (Handle) Is The Original Wooden Handle With Only Wrapping Covering It. The Habaki Is Made Of Copper. The Saya (Scabbard) Is Wooden With Leather Out Skin. The Tassel Is In The Traditional Style Of A Lieutenant'S Sword. The Blade Is Very Well Made, With Only A Few Nicks As You Would Expect With Age. It Was Taken After A Battle In The Pacific.
