2008 HSV W427 – Build #52

The HSV W427 stands as one of the most important cars in Australia’s performance history. Unveiled to celebrate HSV’s 20th anniversary, the W427 was built in strictly limited numbers, with only 137 examples produced. It was the most powerful and exclusive car HSV had ever built, designed to push the boundaries of what an Australian-made sedan could achieve.

At its heart lies the 7.0-litre LS7 V8 sourced from the Corvette Z06, producing 375kW and 640Nm. Backed by a 6-speed manual gearbox, upgraded suspension and massive AP Racing brakes, the W427 delivered supercar-level performance while retaining the practicality of a four-door sedan. Distinctive styling cues set it apart, cementing its place as a modern icon.

This example is Build #52, finished in the desirable Silver Nitrate. With just 13,300 kilometres travelled, it presents in outstanding condition. It is accompanied by all books and the HSV compendium, making it a highly collectible piece for any enthusiast or investor in Australian performance cars.
