Holden VS Ambulance Model History

During the 1990s and early 2000s, Holden’s VS-series platform was widely adopted by Australian ambulance services due to its reliability, V6 drivetrain and adaptable commercial body configuration. Purpose-built conversions were engineered to support medical equipment, auxiliary power systems and communication technology, making these vehicles highly specialised service units. Today, surviving ambulance variants are relatively scarce in civilian use, often sought for unique restoration projects, promotional vehicles or functional commercial applications.
