Introduced in the late 1970s, the Subaru Brumby (also known internationally as the BRAT) carved out a niche as a compact, all-wheel-drive utility unlike anything else on the market. By the late 1980s, the Brumby had developed a loyal following, and today it is regarded as a cult classic.
