Description

The fourth-generation F100 is one of the most popular platforms in Australian hot rod and custom culture, and this 1965 example has been built with a seriously impressive mechanical specification. The 351 Windsor V8 has been properly built from the ground up: Wiseco 10.5:1 forged pistons, Victor Junior alloy cylinder heads with port-matched inlet manifold, roller rockers, Lunati roller lifters and camshaft, and a Holley Terminator multi-point injection system running Bosch 1000cc injectors. Vendor advises the engine was rebuilt 30 thou over to this full specification. That is not just a cam and a carby, that is a proper performance build delivering strong power with modern EFI drivability. MSD Digital 6AL ignition handles the spark side. The drivetrain is equally sorted: C6 automatic with a 2800rpm stall converter and a Truetrac LSD running 3.1 gearing, which is well matched for confident street performance. A Queensland Government modification plate is fitted confirming the drivetrain swap is engineer-certified. The Holley Terminator touchscreen display in the cab was showing healthy oil pressure, fuel pressure and charging voltage in the photos, confirming the system is operational.



The interior has been built to a consistent red and silver custom theme. The bench seat is freshly reupholstered in grey and silver quilted vinyl with red accent stripe inserts, the steering wheel is a custom red 3-spoke billet unit with Ford medallion centre, and the Holley EFI touchscreen is cleanly integrated into a red-painted custom dash pod. A floor-mounted C6 shifter with Ford oval badge sits centre cab. The door panels are painted bare metal with red checkered lower insert panels, which is a deliberate custom styling choice. Modern 3-point seatbelts have been fitted. There is some exposed wiring visible under the dash that would benefit from being loomed and tidied. The chassis and frame underside have been painted red to show quality, with stainless exhaust components and clean suspension presentation. The battery has been relocated to an under-cab position.



Cosmetically, the exterior carries bare metal patina throughout. The hood is stripped to bare metal with surface oxidation, the cab sides and doors show typical patina and minor dings, and the roof drip rail has rust at the seam that will need treatment before any final paint work. The bed has a spray-in liner, the original Ford block-letter tailgate is intact, and the Custom Cab badge on the door is present and correct. The truck rides on large black multi-spoke alloy wheels with low-profile performance tyres on a heavily lowered suspension setup. Rear bumper is not fitted. Well-built custom F100s with this level of mechanical investment have traded from $40,000 to $70,000 in the Australian market, and the $45,000 to $60,000 price guide reflects the spec sheet accurately, noting the bodywork and paint remain as a project for the new owner.
