Description:

1965 Puch Sears Allstate

A charming and unusual lightweight motorcycle, this 1965 Puch Sears Allstate is finished in Red and shows an indicated 1,186 miles. Manufactured in Austria and sold in the United States through the Sears catalogue network, these motorcycles have become known among collectors as classic “catalogue bikes” from the mid-20th century.

Powered by a 50cc single-cylinder two-stroke engine paired with a 3-speed manual transmission, the motorcycle offers simple, economical and reliable performance typical of small European commuter bikes of the era. The example is described as a matching numbers motorcycle and remains in original, unrestored condition.

Puch Sears Allstate Model History

During the 1950s and 1960s, several European manufacturers produced motorcycles that were sold through American department store catalogues. Austrian manufacturer Puch, part of the Daimler-Steyr group, built motorcycles and mopeds that were marketed in the United States under the Sears Allstate brand. These machines combined European engineering with American retail distribution, making them affordable and widely accessible. Today, surviving examples are increasingly collectible for their unusual branding, period styling and historical connection to catalogue retail culture.
