Description / Overview:
The VC Valiant Regal is a genuinely underrated Australian classic. Launched in 1966, the VC brought cleaner lines and better refinement to the Valiant range, with the Regal sitting at the top of the tree. Chrysler's Slant Six was bulletproof in standard trim; this example takes that foundation and builds something with real personality. The 0.060-over rebuild with Waggott cam, Offenhauser 4-barrel intake, Holley 570 Avenger, and Pacemaker headers makes for a Slant Six that punches well above what you'd expect from a six-cylinder. The built 904 with TransGo shift kit and 2400-rpm stall gives it some proper attitude off the line.

The restoration is extensive and thorough where it counts. The body is straight, the paint is deep and even, and the jambs and shuts have been done properly, suggesting a full strip-down. Chrome is excellent throughout, from the bumpers to the window surrounds to the side mouldings. The interior has been completely re-trimmed with quality materials, new carpet, and a fresh headliner. The custom boot installation features a well-presented audio system with amplifiers and subwoofer, LED strip lighting, and a battery relocation with isolation cut-off switch. One area that needs attention: the wiring behind the boot battery is not finished to the same standard as the rest of the car and should be properly loomed and fused by the new owner.

The steering wheel shows wear that was not addressed in the restoration, and the speedometer lens has some crazing, both of which stand out at this level of build. No underbody photographs are provided in this listing, and given the car's age and the extent of modifications, a thorough undercarriage inspection is essential before bidding. Buyers should also confirm engineering certification status for all modifications, particularly the performance upgrades. Unregistered. Vendor not registered for GST, so GST does not apply.
