The W140 S600 is the flagship of the flagship. Mercedes threw the rulebook out with this one, a 6.0-litre M120 V12 that made everything else on the road feel ordinary. Built from 1991 to 1999, the W140 remains the most over-engineered production car Mercedes ever made, with triple-glazed windows, dual-zone climate, and a suspension system that isolated passengers from the outside world like nothing else at the time. This one is a long-wheelbase SEL, the proper full-fat spec.
The vendor advises this car has been off the road for many years and was originally used as a diplomatic vehicle, which explains the Left Hand Drive configuration. That diplomatic history adds a layer of intrigue, but it also means this car needs a full mechanical assessment before it turns a wheel.
