Description / Overview:
The Honda S2000 is one of the great Japanese sports cars of the modern era, and the AP1 generation that ran from 1999 to 2003 is the one to have. That high-revving F20C was the most powerful naturally aspirated production engine per litre Honda ever made, and it still feels like nothing else on the road today. This example was built in August 1999 at Honda's Suzuka plant and is among the very first AP1s ever produced, which adds genuine interest for S2000 collectors.
At 179,052 kilometres the car has been driven, but the F20C is known to be durable when properly maintained. The engine bay presents clean with no visible leaks, and the soft top is in good shape with no tears or sag visible. The paint shows strong gloss with no obvious accident damage or rust. The interior shows honest, age-appropriate wear, particularly on the driver's seat bolsters. The car has a few minor modifications: an Alpine aftermarket head unit, a K&N cold air intake, and an aftermarket shift knob. Notably, there are silver marker signatures on the passenger dash pad, including what appears to be a Spoon Sports autograph, which may appeal to some buyers or divide opinion among others.
Overall this presents as a genuine, well-used example of one of the best driver's cars of its era.
