The Pantah 500SL is one of the most historically important motorcycles Ducati ever produced. It was the first model to use the belt-driven desmodromic valve timing system on a V-twin, and that same fundamental architecture went on to power every great Ducati that followed, right through to the 916 and beyond. Owning a Pantah is owning a piece of the lineage.
