Description / Overview:
You do not often see a first-generation Tarago in this condition. The factory two-tone silver and bronze paint is original and straight with no visible rust on any exterior panel. All badges are present and correctly mounted, the tailgate chrome is intact, the Skylite glass panels are clear and uncracked, and the quad sealed-beam headlights are undamaged. The alloy wheels show minor patina but the body itself is a standout survivor for a 38-year-old van.
Inside, the GS spec delivers. The tan velour captain's chairs in the second and third rows are in genuinely good condition with no tears or collapsed cushions. The swivel mechanisms on the rear chairs are functional. The cool box between the front seats is present. The rear air conditioning control panel is intact on the side wall. The original factory radio/cassette has been replaced with a JVC Bluetooth unit. The dashboard is uncracked, which is notable for this model. The vendor discloses the front passenger power window connection needs repair (operable from driver's side) and the idle requires adjustment. Both are straightforward maintenance items.
Both the Australian compliance plate and the Japanese factory plate have been photographed and the chassis number YR22-0001416 is confirmed on both.
