Description:

1970 Holden HG Belmont Sedan - Sandstone Beige / White Vinyl Roof - 50,815 Miles - 202ci Inline-6, 3-Speed Automatic

A beautifully presented HG Belmont 4-door in a classic gold and white combination, showing the quality of care that has gone into bringing this Australian icon back to its best.

Overview

The Holden HG represents the final chapter of the traditional Holden design era before the all-new HQ arrived in 1971. Built from 1970 to 1971, the HG carried forward the beloved HR and HK proportions with refined styling, improved trim levels and the same bulletproof mechanical foundation that made Holden the dominant force in Australian motoring for two decades. Today, HG Holdens occupy a sweet spot in the collector market, combining genuine Aussie heritage with strong parts support, accessible ownership costs and a growing appreciation for their restrained, elegant styling.

This 1970 Holden HG Belmont 4-door sedan presents in its original Sandstone Beige (paint code 560) with white vinyl roof, a classic combination that defined family motoring in early 1970s Australia. The build plate confirms Model HGB0169 (Belmont specification), trim code 1192-11A and paint 560. The compliance plate confirms the car as a Holden HG Sedan built July 1970, chassis HG00886M, with seating for six. Power comes from the 202 cubic inch (3.3-litre) Holden inline six-cylinder engine paired to a 3-speed column-shift automatic transmission. The odometer reads 50,815 miles, though this cannot be independently verified on a vehicle of this vintage.

The exterior presents to a high standard with excellent gloss and panel consistency across all surfaces. The Sandstone Beige body is complemented by the white vinyl roof, chrome bumpers in excellent condition and period-correct steel wheels fitted with whitewall tyres and chrome hubcaps with red centre badges. The interior is trimmed in matching chamois gold vinyl throughout and presents to an equally high standard across the front bench seat, rear bench, door cards and headlining. The dashboard is clean and crack-free with the original 3-spoke chamois steering wheel, Holden lion centre badge and full factory instrument cluster including fuel, gen, oil and temp gauges. The heater and ventilation controls are original and functioning. The radio bay is vacant. The boot is clean, large and contains the spare wheel.
