Description
Few motorcycles in history carry the weight that a CB750F does. Honda changed the game with the original CB750 in 1969, and the F-model Super Sports arrived in 1975 as the sportier, more focused evolution of that formula. Where the standard CB750K ran four individual exhaust pipes, the F-model got a purposeful four-into-one collector system that gives it a more aggressive stance and a better sound. The 736cc SOHC inline-four is one of the most celebrated engines in motorcycling, simple, torquey and bulletproof when maintained. This example is in Candy Sapphire Blue, the correct and most desirable factory colour for the model, and it wears it well. Gold pinstriping on the tank and side covers, the Super Sport script, the 750 Four badge, all present and correct.
At 23,862 miles this is a low-kilometre example by any measure. The engine cases show the natural oxidation you expect from 50-year-old alloy, but there is no obvious neglect or damage. The chrome on the forks, rear shocks and mirrors is aged but intact, no heavy pitting visible from the photos.
