The first-generation Bentley Arnage marked a turning point for Crewe. Launched in 1998, it was the first all-new Bentley in decades, and the early "Green Label" cars powered by the BMW-sourced 4.4-litre twin-turbo V8 have developed a dedicated following. They are lighter, more responsive, and arguably more refined than the later 6.75-litre Red Label models. This particular example was commissioned through H.R. Owen of London, one of the most prestigious Rolls-Royce and Bentley dealerships in the world, and it wears the combination beautifully: deep Oxford Blue metallic over magnolia leather with burr walnut veneer throughout.
The exterior presents in very good condition for a car approaching its 27th year. The Oxford Blue metallic carries deep gloss and strong reflections across all panels, with factory-correct panel alignment throughout. Chrome grille, bumpers, waistline trim, and window surrounds are all bright and clean. The five-spoke Bentley alloy wheels with red centre caps are original and show moderate age-related patina on the finish but no significant kerb damage. Step inside and the condition is genuinely impressive. The magnolia leather is clean and supple front to rear, with the rear seats in near-mint condition. The burr walnut veneer across the full-width dashboard, door cappings, centre console, and steering wheel shows no cracking or delamination, retaining its rich high-gloss finish. The cream headliner is clean and taut. A period Alpine DVD audio system and rear headrest entertainment screens have been added, which could be retained or reversed. The factory tool kit, warning triangle, and dual VARTA replacement batteries are present in the boot.
Vendor advises the car was commissioned by H.R. Owen of London and comes with the original green leather Bentley Arnage owner's handbook, Rolls-Royce and Bentley warranty information book, assistance service book, UK MOT history documentation, and three keys (two remotes plus valet). A 1999 Arnage Green Label recently sold on Bring a Trailer for US$12,750 (approx A$19,000) in February 2025, though that was a US-spec example. Well-presented right-hand drive examples with documentation and low miles like this one command a premium. With a guide of $40,000 to $55,000, this is hand-built British luxury at a fraction of what it cost new, with the kind of provenance and presentation that makes it worth every dollar.
