Description

The R32 GT-R, chassis BNR32003608, is from the early production run of one of Japan's most important motorsport machines. Launched in 1989 with the RB26DETT twin-turbo inline-six driving all four wheels through the ATTESA E-TS system, the BNR32 dominated Group A racing in Australia and Japan before the rules were changed specifically to slow it down. That engineering pedigree is the foundation this build has been developed on. This is not a stock GT-R. It is a purpose-built competition car with a comprehensive, high-quality build throughout, and vendor advises it produces approximately 690 horsepower at the wheels at 21psi and has recorded a 1:04 lap time at Wakefield Park with an amateur driver.



The engine build centres on CP forged pistons, Manley forged connecting rods, a nitrided, polished and balanced OEM crankshaft, ARP head and main studs, and a lightly ported cylinder head. Tomei componentry throughout covers the head gasket, 270-degree 10.25mm lift camshafts, double valve springs, lifter buckets, oversized valves, and adjustable cam gears. A Precision 6262 turbocharger sits on a twin-scroll T4 exhaust manifold with twin TiAL 44mm external wastegates. Fuelling runs through Bosch EV14 1660cc injectors, a Radium fuel cell with integrated surge tank, and dual Walbro fuel pumps plus a lift pump with Injector Dynamics filtration. The engine management is a Motec M600 ECU with a Haltech/Racepak digital dash for data logging. A Twin Vine CDI ignition system and Denso CDI coil kit, an ATI harmonic balancer, Ross dry sump system, Hypertune V2 intake manifold with single throttle body conversion, and a Hypertune dual-pass radiator complete the engine package. The driveline has had equal attention, with a brand-new Series 3 R33 GT-R gearbox, a Full Race Attesa AWD controller, rebuilt rear differential, and a 2-way rear LSD. Chassis work includes custom-valved Tein coilovers, full Ikeya Formula adjustable suspension arms, and an S15 rear cradle conversion. Braking is handled by AP Racing V8 Supercar front calipers and R33 GT-R Brembo rear units. Inside, the car is stripped for competition with a FIA/CAMS-specification roll cage, Sparco race bucket seats, harnesses, and a Sabelt steering wheel. The Haltech/Racepak digital dash displays water temp, oil temp, and full engine data.



R32 GT-Rs with this level of properly documented, premium-component race preparation represent genuine value against the cost of building one from scratch. The parts list alone, from the Motec M600 and Precision 6262 through to the AP Racing V8 Supercar brakes and Ross dry sump, reflects an investment well into six figures. This is a car for a buyer with circuit intentions who wants serious underpinnings already in place. Vendor advises the vehicle is unregistered and unroadworthy in its current race-prepared configuration.
