Large-eyed fish float in the upper left, a horned goat-like creature occupies the upper right, and large spotted mushrooms emerge from the lower composition, all set against the familiar backdrop of domed towers, winding staircases, and arched doorways. The composition fills the sheet edge to edge with the kind of dense, maximalist energy that characterises the artist's strongest works. The warm, polychromatic palette of muted pinks, peaches, blues, mauves, greens, and grays is among the most balanced and inviting in the series.<br>
