Description
The 1967 model year was a milestone for the Mustang. Ford enlarged the body for the first time, giving the car a wider stance, a bigger engine bay, and a more sophisticated look while keeping the essential pony car proportions that made the original a sensation. The hardtop coupe was the volume seller and the car that put the Mustang on every driveway in America. This one has made its way to Australia and spent 16 years with a vendor who clearly knew what they had.
The lime gold metallic paint has been applied over a bare metal preparation, and the result shows in the photos. The gloss is even and consistent across all panels, the white bodyside stripe is clean and straight, and the chrome bumpers, pony grille badge, and brightwork present as they should. The body is straight with even panel gaps throughout. Under the bonnet sits the 289 cubic inch V8, dressed in the correct period blue finish, with the vendor advising a stage 2 camshaft upgrade has been fitted for a little extra response over the standard setup. The engine bay has been finished to match the bare metal respray quality.
