The Build
This LX Torana SS tribute has been through a full rotisserie restoration to a standard that speaks for itself in the photos. The body was stripped to bare metal, media blasted (documented on CCTV dated 29 July 2024), epoxy primered, all body cavities treated and painted, and the body refinished in Paprika Red with a gloss black bonnet in a professional spray booth. The build plate (LXBVC77) confirms the original drivetrain is in place: Engine code L20 (308 cubic inch V8) and Trans code M20 (4-speed Saginaw close-ratio gearbox). The odometer was replaced during the restoration and currently reads 35 kilometres.
Vendor advises the 308ci V8 was rebuilt at 030 over with RA2501 high-performance pistons and roller rockers. The engine is topped with a Torker performance intake manifold, a Holley 4-barrel carburettor, and a high-flow round air filter. The engine bay has been painted body colour and the firewall is clean and detailed. Dual exhaust exits are visible under the car. The suspension has been rebuilt and the guards have been widened with a bolted flare kit to accommodate the period-correct deep-dish polished alloys. Tyres are new 195/65R15 fitted all round.
Inside, the interior has been fully re-trimmed in cream leather. Front bucket seats and rear bench are new, door cards are new in matching cream vinyl, and new black carpet has been fitted throughout. The dashboard retains the original LX triple instrument binnacle with correct gauges. An aftermarket head unit has been fitted to the centre console. The SS steering wheel is fitted and the SS badging appears on the grille, rear panel, and steering wheel hub. The hatchback boot has been fully lined in new black carpet. All glass is intact and seals appear fresh.
