Provenance: Dez Smith (Born 1952, Perth, Western Australia) Is An Established Australian Artist Known For His Watercolour Landscapes And Coastal Scenes. He Studied At John Forrest High School And Trained As A Junior Artist At Art Photo Engravers Before Completing His Apprenticeship And Studying Part-Time At Perth Art College, Gaining His Diploma In 1972. Smith Has Exhibited Extensively At Burswood Hotel, Lyndon Gallery, And Various Art Shows Around Western Australia, Receiving Many Awards For His Work. He Was Artist-In-Residence At The E-Shed Markets, Fremantle, And Participated In The Swan Valley Tourism Council'S 'Taste Valley 2000' Festival At Sandalford. His Works Have Been Exhibited At Houghton Winery And Are Held In Private Collections Throughout Western Australia. Smith Conducts Art Classes And Workshops And Is Known For His Fascination With Rusty Objects And Humorous Subject Matter, Reflected In His Vibrant Watercolour Technique.
