Antique Cherub Head Broach - Circa Early 20th Century

Description
A striking vintage broach featuring two finely detailed cherub or putti head sculptures in gilt metal, connected by a delicate pin mechanism. Item showcases classical styling with carefully rendered facial features and curled hair details characteristic of early 20th century decorative metalwork.

Construction & Materials
The cherub heads are displaying warm patina consistent with age. Each head measures approximately 12-14mm, The reverse features traditional T-bar or toggle-style fasteners in matching gilt metal, typical from this era.

Condition
Ex-Display / Vintage Used. The item shows expected age-related patina and surface wear. The gilt finish has mellowed to a soft tone. Minor surface marks and oxidation are visible, consistent with age and occasional use. The link remains intact and functional. Both cherub heads are present and undamaged. The fastening mechanism operates smoothly.

Presentation
Housed in original black leather presentation box with burgundy silk interior and cream silk lining. The box lid features handwritten inscription in script (visible in photographs). Box shows age-appropriate wear with minor creasing to leather and some discolouration to interior silk, consistent with storage over many decades.
