The Toyota Land Cruiser HJ47 single cab utility is one of the most practical and collectible four-wheel drives from the early 1980s. Powered by Toyota's legendary 2H inline six-cylinder diesel, these utes built a reputation for near-indestructible reliability across Australian stations, mine sites, and remote work environments. Finding an unmodified, running example is increasingly difficult as they get used hard, parted out, or heavily modified.
This 1983 example presents in black with the chassis data plate confirming model HJ47RP-KQ, engine 2H, and frame number HJ47-025499. The exterior paint holds across all panels with minor fading and stone chipping consistent with a working vehicle of this age. Panel alignment is straight with no evidence of significant repairs. A snorkel is fitted on the driver's side. The steel tube headboard rack carries the Bridgestone Desert Dueler spare behind the cab, with the alloy flat tray body in natural aluminium finish showing typical age-appropriate surface oxidation and working patina.
