Built in 1972 by Ford Motor Company of South Africa at their Pretoria plant, the Fairmont 351-GT represented the top of the South African Ford performance range. Sharing its architecture with the XY Falcon platform and fitted with the genuine Ford 351 cubic inch V8, these were serious performance sedans produced in limited numbers for a market that demanded both family practicality and V8 muscle. Few have made it to Australia, making this a genuinely rare find for collectors who know the SA Ford story.
