Overview

This is a 1981 Nissan Patrol single cab utility finished in yellow. The compliance plate identifies it as a Datsun 35A-36 Patrol Wagon, manufactured by Nissan Motor Co (Aust) P/L, dated 8/81, with chassis number KM160632701, GVM of 2726 kg and a seating capacity of 4. Modifications include, 383 chevy on NOS, forged pistons, dart alloy heads, 4 bolt marvis, H beam rods, morrell lifters, big mechanical roller cam, high capacity roller sump 7 litre, extractors, warlled turbo 400, dominator HYL stall, stance 9" diff full spool with locker billet axles, canvo pros, and a roll cage. A Transport Industry Consultants (TIC) engineering plate dated July 1998 is fitted, noting the engine type as a V8 and the engine number as V1012TDC.

The vehicle has been extensively modified. The cabin has had the roof removed behind the B-pillars and a multi-point roll cage fitted. The interior features aftermarket Monza bucket seats with multi-point harnesses for both driver and passenger. An aftermarket leather-wrapped steering wheel with a Nissan centre badge is fitted. A B&M automatic shifter is mounted on the transmission tunnel. The dashboard carries an Auto Meter Sport-Comp tachometer with shift light, along with Auto Meter Sport-Comp water temperature, oil pressure and fuel pressure gauges. An MSD ignition box, an MSD coil and a NOS Time Based Progressive Controller are mounted in the cabin. Toggle switches labelled FAN 1, PUMP, Nos and LAUNCH are visible on the dash panel. A NOS bottle is strapped behind the seats in the tub area, alongside a relocated battery. The tub area is carpeted in black. The engine bay houses a V8 engine with a carburettor, open-element chrome air filter, extractors, braided fuel lines with red and blue AN fittings, and NOS plumbing. Black beadlock-style steel wheels are fitted on all four corners with mud-terrain tyres. Black flared wheel arch extensions are fitted. A black bonnet scoop is fitted.

Condition

The exterior yellow paintwork presents with a gloss finish across most panels. Scratches are visible on the driver side door and the passenger side door. The tailgate shows paint chips and scratches. A paint chip is visible on the leading edge of the front passenger side fender. Rust is visible on the rear window surround trim at the top of the cabin. The black flared guards and front bumper bar appear in serviceable condition. The door trims are black vinyl with manual window winders and pull handles, and appear intact on both sides.

The interior carpet is black and appears in reasonable condition. The aftermarket Monza bucket seats show wear to the vinyl bolsters. The steering wheel leather is heavily worn and cracked. The dashboard and gauge cluster are dusty but intact. The B&M shifter gate shows surface wear. Exposed wiring is visible around the MSD ignition and NOS controller area on the transmission tunnel.

The engine bay shows a V8 engine with aftermarket carburettor, extractors and NOS plumbing. The inner guards have been painted yellow. The tyres show remaining tread with an aggressive mud-terrain pattern.
